The SETwomen community is a partnership between the women leaders of two organisations in the East of England, Jenny Koenig, Chair of Cambridge AWiSE and Bev Hurley, Chief Executive of YTKO.

They bring substantial expertise of building very successful communities of interest, such as Cambridge AWiSEEnterprising Women, and Norfolk Network, and a rich blend of experience from academia, industry and entrepreneurship.

Jenny koenigJenny Koenig has an academic research background with a degree, PhD and many years research in pharmacology. Since 2003 she has been Chair of Cambridge AWiSE, and established her own educational consultancy, Science Etc, in 2004. Jenny teaches at the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of Lucy Cavendish College. She has been a member of the management committee of the MentorSET scheme since 2004

Bev HurleyBev Hurley has a first degree in the arts, followed by a MSc, and comes from an entrepreneurial background. She set up and run three successful companies prior to joining YTKO as Chief Executive in 1999.  YTKO manages a Enterprise Fellowship programme for bioscientists in Yorkshire, described as “simply exceptional” for its work with women scientists, and leads the Enterprising Women programme in the East of England.  Bev is a Trustee of the East Mentoring Forum, sits on the Research & Business Services Advisory Board of the University of East Anglia and a Non Executive Director of Prowess.
